1. Find a well-lit space with good airflow away from any possible sources of contamination like garbage, floors, or ripe fruits and remove the block from the storage bag.
2. Take the humidity bag and cut 10 holes into one side.
3. Spray inside of bag thoroughly with water. 
4. Place block inside the bag, close the top with twist tie, and spray inside of bag daily. 
5. Harvest when Shiitake “veil” beings to separate from the stems and caps are rounded, around 5-10 days after fruiting. 

For second flushes, submerge block in water overnight, allow to dry overnight, and then place back in bag until growth begins again.
