    This substrate uses the time-tested CVG (Coir, Vermiculite, Gypsum) blend, formulated to promote strong colonization, ideal moisture retention, and structural integrity throughout the fruiting cycle. It's one of the most versatile and widely used bulk substrates for a reason.

    Each unit is hydrated to field capacity and professionally sterilized, giving you a clean, prepped substrate that’s ready for inoculation as soon as you open the bag.

    Packaged for Clean Colonization

    Every bag is sealed in a Sakato-brand polypropylene grow bag with a 0.2 micron filter patch, and protected by an outer poly bag. This packaging ensures gas exchange without contamination, making it suitable for monotubs, trays, or bag fruiting.

    Usage

    For In-Bag Fruiting:

    Add fully colonized grain spawn directly into the bag using clean hands or tools in a sanitary environment. Mix thoroughly to distribute the spawn evenly throughout the substrate, then reseal the bag. Once fully colonized, cut slits or open the top of the bag to initiate fruiting.

    For Monotub Use:

    Use a ratio of 1 bag of grain spawn to 2 bags of RMS CVG Mix. Open all bags in clean conditions, combine in your monotub, and mix well to ensure even distribution. Flatten the surface and proceed with your standard fruiting process. 

    Storage Recommendations:

    Store unopened bags in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Use promptly for best results and to maintain substrate quality.
